ABOUT TROOPER ERICA
Trooper Erica spent her early childhood as both a competitive gymnast and dancer, but focused solely on dance from age 8 and on. She moved from Orlando FL to NYC in 2015 to attend The Ailey School for dance. During her 2nd year at Ailey, she began implementing strength and conditioning training to help become a better dancer. She has built a serious relationship with lifting weights and working out with purpose. Her dance background has made her a stickler for technique and leaves zero room for excuses.
WHAT 3 EXERCISES WOULD TROOPER ERICA DO FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE?
- Shoulder Press – Too many women are afraid of training their upper body but I think it’s empowering.
- Hip Thrusts – Guys shouldn’t be ashamed of doing his movement. They do it all the time.
- Burpees – Because nothing gets my heart rate up as fast as burpees.
WHAT DOES TROOPER STRONG MEAN TO TROOPER ERICA?
Trooper strong means to keep pushing through no matter what obstacles you face. As I always say, the only way out is through. There are no shortcuts. The struggle you’re in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow.
